Sheriff: Suspected drunk driver causes crash that injures officer

A Wayne County Sheriff’s Office sergeant was injured Friday night after the car he was driving was broadsided by a suspected drunk driver who ran through a yield sign in southwest Detroit, said Paula Bridges, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
