Audit: Drunk, drug crashes decrease

A drunken-driving audit shows a decrease in alcohol- and drug-related crashes, fatalities and injuries in Michigan. Deaths resulting from these specific uses decreased by 10.6 %, from 357 deaths in 2010 to 319 in 2011; injuries fell from 6,175 to 6,086, the 2011 audit found. The audit also shows 37,540 alcohol- and drug-related driving arrests were made in 2011.
