Suspected drunk driver flies off embankment, lands upside down

A suspected drunk driver flew off of an embankment and landed upside down Friday morning. Michael Ray, 38, of Lakeway was driving on Bee Cave Road when he hit a guardrail just west of Barton Creek Boulevard, and flew down a hill. Around 3 a.m. a state troopers saw the damaged guard-rail then found the man’s car upside down. Michael Ray was immediately taken to the hospital and has not yet taken …

Assaults, drunk driving top July arrests in Wilkes Co.

Assaults and drunk driving led the monthly report of Wilkes County arrests by law enforcement agencies during the month of July. Tevin Gresham, 18, of Wilkes County, was arrested July 12 by Washington police and charged with felony aggravated assault. He was released on $10,000 bond.

A teenage boy was arrested for drunk driving and an adult female was hospitalized after the car they were in hit a house on the north side of Grand Forks. Police say the 17-year-old driver had been northbound on 20th Street and turned west into an alley when he hit the corner of the building.

A suspected drunk driver is accused in a traffic crash on Interstate 45 near Webster that left two people dead Monday afternoon. Michael Gregory Petty, 28, is charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter in the fatal wreck which occurred in the 18900 block of the southbound Gulf Freeway near Bay Area Boulevard about 12:30 p.m., police said.
